Investigating the Effects of a Real-time Student Monitoring Interface on   Instructors’ Monitoring Practices in Online Teaching
Collaborating with Ha Yeon Lee, Seora Park, Esther Hehsun Kim, Hajin Lim, and Joonhwan Lee, We designed a prototype of the Real-time Student Monitoring System (RESMO) to fulfill the crucial need for monitoring tools that offer intuitive visualizations of real-time student engagement. Then, we conducted lab experiments with surveys and interviews to comprehend instructors’ effectiveness, cognitive loads, and psychological pressure influenced by the accuracy of engagement assessments and the flexibility in teaching strategies during online class
