Design for Intergenerational Communication: How Mobile Technology Could Narrow Generational Gap Between Grandparents and Adult Grandchildren
Collaborating with Seolhee Lee, Hyungjun Cho, Hajin Lim, and Joonhwan Lee, our research delved into the communication patterns facilitated by mobile technology between elderly grandchildren (GC) and younger adult grandparents (GP). Our primary focus was on understanding the differences and challenges inherent in these interactions. Subsequently, we formulated design guidelines aimed at bridging generational gaps, with the ultimate goal of enhancing intergenerational communication.
